Bringing the outside in. Telling the story of Decayed Brocade is about creating the space where disparate elements of nature, living or once living, unite in perfect harmony. The Decayed Brocade Brand takes inspiration from the raw energy and spirit of the Southwestern regions of the United States and geometric minimalism, embracing the dusty hues and clean look of wasted desert life and presenting the ornate natural beauty of the works in a simplified modern interior. Each piece an escape from reality available for purchase and offering anyone the chance to "ALTER THEIR SPACE."
In January of 2017, Helton began the lifestyle home decor line and oddities studio, Decayed Brocade. Inspired from found design elements in nature and the subtle influence of her familial ties to the southwest, Helton began to create her handmade product from the living and once living. Utilizing her background in brand development and graphic design she executed all brand collateral material, product, merchandising, product photography, and commercial design to compliment the stories that make up the product line. She continues building the business through local markets, online sales, and social media interaction.
